Our
Story
For the past two years, Drs. Austin and Whitney (Wolfe) Johnson have established themselves within the Monroe county community through owning their very own dental practice. The newly family of four welcomed their baby boy, Reid, in June of 2024. Between managing their own business and raising a toddler (June) and a baby (Reid), life is more exciting and busy as ever!
Whitney is from Seymour, TN, and went to Heritage High School. Serving her community through dentistry has been her dream since high school. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She obtained her bachelor's degree in mathematics while also competing and earning a scholarship on the Lady Vols Rowing team. Upon graduating college, Whitney became a coach for a local rowing club in Louisville, TN, for two years. She then attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree - where she met her husband and best friend, Austin. It did not take much convincing Austin to settle down with her in East TN, as he fell in love with the east Tennessee area.
Austin was born in Abilene, TX while his dad served in the United States Air Force. Constantly on the move, Austin has lived in Texas, Hawaii, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. He attended high school outside Little Rock, AR, where he excelled in playing varsity basketball. Austin earned an academic and basketball scholarship to Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where he earned his bachelor's degree in biology. After his undergraduate career, he was commissioned with the United States Army upon entry into dental school. After graduation, Austin and Whitney lived in Saint Robert, MO where Austin served as an active duty dentist at Fort Leonard Wood and Whitney worked for a small town dental clinic in Lebanon, MO. They welcomed their first child, June, at the military hospital in Saint Robert.
Austin has always been passionate about dentistry, especially the business aspect. It has been a dream of his to own and manage a dental practice in a small, close-knit community. They love sports, travelling, cooking together, and creating a comfortable home life. Both he and Whitney hope to provide excellent care in a relaxed dental environment with the ultimate goal of building relationships within the community.
